Last year, we saw a dizzying amount of celebrity engagements, with huge stars like Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, and Scarlett Johansson all announcing they’d soon be tying the knot. Of course, with so many 2019 celebrity engagements, we also saw an incredible amount of breathtaking celebrity engagement rings debut last year. From unique gemstone rings to ultra classic diamond rings, 2019’s celeb engagement rings had it all!

1. Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney

Jennifer Lawrence and her art director boyfriend Cooke Maroney got engaged in early 2019. We got our first clue that the movie star was engaged in February of 2019, when Lawrence was seen wearing her gorgeous engagement ring while dining out in New York City. Maroney proposed to Lawrence with an elegant solitaire engagement ring set with a beautifully clear emerald cut diamond (which we’d estimate is about 4 or 5 carats).
2. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom
After several years of dating, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom announced their engagement in February of 2019 (they got engaged on Valentine’s Day!) by sharing a selfie that featured Perry’s engagement ring on Instagram. Bloom presented Katy with a very unique gemstone engagement ring. The pop star’s stunning ring features an oval-shaped ruby, a floral-inspired diamond halo, and a yellow gold band.
3. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez
Alex Rodriguez proposed to Jennifer Lopez in March of 2019 while the pair was vacationing in the Bahamas. Fittingly, Rodriguez proposed to his ultra-glamorous girlfriend with an exquisitely glamorous (and absolutely massive) engagement ring. Lopez’s engagement ring features side baguette diamonds and an emerald cut diamond that is estimated to weigh around 20 carats. With its enormous and incredibly high-quality center stone, experts have estimated that J.Lo’s engagement ring is worth around $4.5 million.

Last May, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost proposed to Scarlett Johansson with one of the most unique celebrity engagement rings we saw in 2019. Johansson’s engagement ring features an 11 carat light brown diamond that appears to have a bespoke cut. This eye-catching, utterly unique diamond rests in a yellow gold setting that protrudes from one side of a deep brown band, which adds another distinctive touch to Johansson’s one-of-a-kind engagement ring.
5. Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger
Chris Pratt announced his engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger in January of 2019 by sharing a proposal photo on social media. In this picture, you can see Schwarzennegar’s beautiful, and quite classic, engagement ring. Schwarzenegger’s engagement ring is a traditional solitaire design crafted from platinum, and it features a sizeable cushion cut diamond at its center.
6. Emma Stone and Dave McCary
Emma Stone got engaged to SNL writer Dave McCary in December of 2019. The Oscar-winning actress’s engagement ring, which was shared on McCary’s Instagram, is quite unique, as it features a pearl as its center stone. This pearl is surrounded by a snowflake-shaped diamond halo and accented by additional diamonds that rest upon the ring’s yellow gold band.
7. Elizabeth Olsen and Robbie Arnett

Like several of her Marvel costars, Elizabeth Olsen got engaged in 2019. Olsen and her indie rocker fiancé Robbie Arnett announced their engagement over the summer. Shortly after their engagement was announced, we caught a glimpse of Olsen’s gorgeous engagement ring when the couple was photographed as they ran errands in Los Angeles. Olsen’s engagement ring features a richly colored center emerald and a beautiful floral-inspired diamond halo.
8. Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma
After the birth of their first child together, Hilary Duff announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Matthew Koma in May of 2019 by sharing a picture on Instagram in which she shows off her new engagement ring. The Disney Channel alum’s engagement ring is a classic style that also happens to be very on-trend at the moment. Her ring features a cushion-cut diamond, a diamond shape that’s rapidly rising in popularity, which rests atop a simple split shank solitaire band.
9. Lindsey Vonn and P.K. Subban

Olympian Lindsey Vonn got engaged to her now fiancee P.K. Subban, a professional ice hockey player, in August of 2019. The athletic duo shared the happy news of their engagement on Instagram and we later got a closer look at Vonn’s engagement ring bling when the couple walked the 2019 VMA’s red carpet. Vonn’s ring features a vibrant emerald that rests atop a slim gold band. Subban has said that he chose an emerald for Vonn’s ring because the emerald is his birthstone and green is her favorite color.
10. Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams

Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland and Bachelorette alum Wells Adams got engaged this past summer and shared the news of their engagement in separate Instagram posts. The happy couple shared pictures of their beach proposal and some close-ups of Hyland’s dazzling ring. The actress’s ring is a top trending style, an oval cut diamond engagement ring with a very thin white gold band set with pave diamonds.
11. Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Last but certainly not least, we have one of the most exciting engagements of the year: the engagement of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. This news is particularly exciting because it means another royal wedding is on the horizon! And, of course, Princess Beatrice’s beautiful royal engagement ring is cause for excitement in and of itself. Many royal jewelry fans have pointed out that Beatrice’s ring bears a striking resemblance to Queen Elizabeth’s engagement ring. Like Queen Elizabeth’s ring, Princess Beatrice’s ring features a round brilliant cut center diamond, a tapered band, and diamond side stones.
