Let’s start off by saying Emily Ratajkowski’s engagement ring is one she designed herself. The stunning model and actress revealed her absolutely incredible engagement ring on social media not so long ago, and had us all gushing!
Ratajkowski’s custom engagement ring features two incredible (and quite sizable) white diamonds on a white and yellow gold setting. These massive diamonds create a unique look, as one is a princess cut while the other is pear shaped. The newly married model told Vogue that she wanted the diamonds to be the star of this custom piece, which is why she went for a simple setting.
The setting may be simple, but it has a unique element that allows its featured diamonds to pop: its two-toned design. While the band of this piece is yellow gold, the prong settings for each diamond are crafted in white gold. The white gold prongs compliment the beauty of these incredible white diamonds, while the yellow gold band creates a warm, contrasting background.
Ratajkowski debuted her engagement ring a while after her secret marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard, which was a simple City Hall affair. She previously showed off her wide yellow gold wedding band in her Instagram announcement of her marriage, which displayed the couple’s matching styles. She later shared the incredibly romantic story of their engagement rings on an appearance on The Tonight Show.
It turns out that Sebastian Bear-McClard didn’t have an engagement ring ready when he popped the question to Ratajkowski. Instead, he made a makeshift ring out of paper clip. Then the couple bought gold to make their wedding rings and hammered them themselves at a midtown jewelry store. Ratajkowski said about the rings, “They were supposed to be temporary rings, but now I’m very attached and I really don’t want to get rid of it. I just feel like making it yourself, could it be more personal?”
